Private 123,000-square-foot prison expansion to an existing facility includes the addition of two, 50,000-square-foot medium security housing units constructed of precast concrete cell modules and precast columns, beams, panels, flat slabs and hollow core roof planks. Each housing unit supports 360 beds. 180 inmates on two levels who are monitored by security staff from a central control area at the core of the building. The expansion also includes a 23,000-square-foot multipurpose building that houses a gymnasium, dining area, commercial kitchen, and medical and dental area. The existing sewage lift station and domestic water supply systems were also redesigned and replaced.
